Lest We Forget and What I Wore Today (100 years ago)

We had our ANZAC Ceremony (for WW100 (one hundred years since ANZACS landed at Gallipoli- hence WW100 and not WW1)) at Birkdale Primary today. It was such a special day. I think there were 30 ex-Birkdale students who went to WWI, 12 didn’t come home. The seniors built an ANZAC pathway as a memorial for the lost soldiers and there is a memorial rock outside the school dedicated to all soldiers who went to war (both ex-Birkdale and residents of the Northcote/Birkenhead/Birkdale areas).
