Everyone has lazy days and I love nothing more than wearing a pair of comfy trackies at home, but I will not grace you with those photos. Instead, I thought I would show you what I wear when I’m just having a lazy Sunday – which usually involves a walk along the beach and then a cup of tea at a cafe.
Yes, the title is a pun. It makes me laugh, but I can’t guarantee that you will. (Honestly, who doesn’t love Owl puns? And Otter puns too!).
My outfit today and yesterday (yes, I am a believer of wearing the same outfit two days in a row on the weekend), consisted of an owl dress from Middelburg and brown suede shoes from New Look. My denim jacket is from Glamorous.
One of my favourite dresses at the moment is a dress from Collectif Vintage in Camden, London. It is a 1960s style dress and has a beautiful geometric pattern.
Despite how much I hate cold, I really love winter fashion. I love wearing skirts and chunky knit tights/stockings.
This week I have been wearing a mustard yellow miniskirt. I decided to wear it because I have packed everything and have nothing to wear.
I like this miniskirt because of the colour. I haven’t seen many of this colour around and it is perfect for the winter months.
Over the last week I went on a small road trip with my mum and dad. They treated me to the road trip and it was so nice to spend time with them. I have a few outfits that I like to wear when travelling – this is my favourite because it is easy to wear and doesn’t take up much room in my bag (I like to travel with a small amount of clothes).
Yesterday my Opa held his 80th birthday party. I had a lovely time.
I took a long time deciding what to wear. I was going to wear one of my 1960s skirts and a lacy top but then I went shopping at Smoove in Auckland.
I bought 2 lovely dresses.
The one I chose to wear was black with flowers. I also wore my floral stockings and 1940s high heels.
I love how the dress seems so delicate. I think the floral pattern helps with that!
I can’t wait to show you the other dress I got.
If you haven’t been to Smoove yet and you live in Auckland, you should definitely go. It is a great shop and the people are really lovely in there. They have a selection of clothing – from Vintage reworked to brand new clothes. They have really awesome skirts with cool patterns of skylines etc.

I’m such a poser. Honestly. Normally for OOTD posts I try not to pose to much. But I really like taking silly photos and these ones in this post actually turned out pretty well.
Unfortunately my phone is starting to run out of space and I have to keep deleting photos. I guess this means I will have to save all my photos on a USB so I can have a clear phone again!
Yesterday (Friday) was my birthday. I’m 26 years old and getting closer to 30.
I had a lovely day. I met my brother for pie at the Federal Delicatessen in Auckland City. It is a New York style deli. The pie was delicious (we shared a taster plate – Toffee and Banana, Cheesecake, Pumpkin and Lemon Meringue).
I’m doing so many ootd posts lately because I have a fantastic photographer again. I’ve so missed not having someone to take my photo. Won’t be long until I’m back balancing my phone on things though!
