I’m a pro at relaxing and chilling and have devised the perfect way to unwind.
Sundays are the ultimate chill day. I wish I could say I go out for brunch with friends, but I’d be lying if I did! I love a good brunch, but I love just staying home on Sundays and relaxing with a good book, a cup of tea and some music.

Abbey Road and the Beatles. The two names are synonymous with one another. Ever since I was a child, I have wanted to go to Abbey Road and see where they made the record called, aptly, Abbey Road. I also wanted to see what I call ‘The Beatles’ Crossing’.

Christmas is a draining time of year for many. Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE Christmas. It’s my favourite time of year. Especially with it being Summer here in NZ. But still, there are so many things to be done at this time of year. Work is ‘over’ for another year (as is school and University). Presents need to be bought, houses need to be decorated and baking and cooking needs to be prepared.
There are a few things I do to mentally prepare for this time of year:

On Sunday #nzbloggers hosted a bloggers chat about our favourite music and whether we write when listening to music. I hate silence and I love listening to music as I write and as I drive etc. So, I thought I’d do a post on my favourite music for writing.

They both fall under the ‘umbrella’ of Art. I have always loved Art (Dance, Drama, Music, Fashion, Visual Arts, Sewing) because it is so creative.

One of my passions (even bordering on obsessiveness) is music. I love music of all genres, however I particularly love Rock. So basically anything from the 1950s to the early 90s.
What really interests me is the impact rockers had on fashion. One of my favourites is Debbie Harry from new wave/punk band ‘Blondie’.
She didn’t always dress in one particular style and she often ‘mixed’ it up by blending the styles together.
Music tends to have quite an influence on how I dress, there are so many different genres of music and each genre really has it’s own type of fashion. Just like how each era/decade has it’s own styles.
