Yes, the title is a pun. It makes me laugh, but I can’t guarantee that you will. (Honestly, who doesn’t love Owl puns? And Otter puns too!).
My outfit today and yesterday (yes, I am a believer of wearing the same outfit two days in a row on the weekend), consisted of an owl dress from Middelburg and brown suede shoes from New Look. My denim jacket is from Glamorous.
When I was in Italy, I heard about these bags called “O bag”. According to the tour leader, they were very popular. And sure enough, when I started looking, I noticed many women had an O bag. The tour leader did too. And that pretty much sealed my decision (and may other’s on the tour), that I must get an ‘O-Bag’.
I love shopping, and so when I have to be on a strict budget (YAY I START WORK IN 2 WEEKS), I find it really hard.
To be honest, do I really need anymore clothes? I am struggling to find spaces in my wardrobe (still have one suitcase to empty out since moving home) and I am in desperate need of new clothes hangers.
However, despite these difficulties, I have some things that I want NOW.
These are investments (for work) and I can see myself wearing them a lot.
I am going through a cropped trousers phase at the moment. I bought 2 pairs of checked trousers in England (from Topshop and New Look) and I still need a few other pairs of trousers. Preferably black and navy:
These trousers look perfect for work and also for those after work drinks on a Friday.
I think I’ve really got in to trousers lately because they are comfortable and a bit easier to wear than skirts. I love wearing dresses and skirts to work, but since I’m a teacher I do have to be careful with skirt length.
Something else I love at the moment are blouses.
I recently bought a really pretty green blouse from H&M near Charing Cross. It was only about £7. I am on the look out for more blouses as they will go well with my workwear and also with jeans for a more casual look:
Brogues are another item on my wishlist.
I love how brogues go with pretty much anything. Skirts, jeans, trousers, dresses. I spend a lot of time getting clothes that would suit brogues (preferably brown or tan brogues) but I don’t actually own a pair yet.
Unfortunately these ASOS ones are not available in my size. However, I have my eye on a pair of unworn Topshop ones on a site called Trademe (an auction site in NZ). They are perfect and I am already imagining what I could wear with them!
And last of all, a Kate Spade bag. Easily the most expensive item on my list, but I can’t help but lust after it.
It is such a cute bag and, dare I say it, perfect for travelling. It is big enough to put all essentials in but also small at the same time so it doesn’t take up much space.
There are other things I could add to this list, but I know that it will be endless.
P.S. shopping bags as featured image because = shopping!
