The Isle of Capri

Recently I went on holiday to Italy.  I had a few days in Sorrento as part of my tour, and one of the optionals was going to Capri for the day.

Originally I wasn’t going to go. I wasn’t feeling very well and wanted to spend the day sleeping.  But I thought that I really should go to Capri, because how could you go to Sorrento and not go to Capri?

I did not regret my choice to go.  It was an incredibly stunning day and I fell in love with the isle.  Capri is probably one of the most beautiful places I have visited.  Clear blue water, sunny, sheer cliffs and tiny roads.

I remember sitting in a restaurant and looking out over the sea and realising that I truly was in paradise.

There was a tranquility around Capri at this time of year.

We took a boat trip around the island, which was probably a highlight of the day trip, and then, when we arrived back at the main dock, we went for a walking tour.  We stopped at a restaurant with fantastic views.  The food was average though – I think they walking tour had a deal with the restaurant.

There were so many cute little roads and alleyways.  I can just imagine how ‘alive’ this place would be in Summertime.  It’d be absoloutely crazy!

It was a beautiful, hot and sunny day when we went. I am so glad we went in Spring, as it was quieter.
