Tomorrow I am going home for a holiday.
I am honestly super, duper excited and can’t believe how fast this time has gone.
I’ve been really good and packed a whole lot of stuff that I will leave at home. That will make my moving to London much easier!
I am so excited to see Pipi the dog. It is funny how much you can miss animals.
I had a really nice last day at work. This year is zooming by. My student’s were sad to see me go, and I was sad to see them off this afternoon. Some were really upset. They are a great bunch of kids and they always made me laugh. We had a great time this year with lots of laughs and creativity.
However, this trip home will mark the beginning of the next step in my life.
I am looking forward to the next half of this year – supply teaching in London. It will be a world away from Clacton and it will be great to be in a city again. It will be great to be in a place with a lot of things to do.
I have experiences so many things this year. Things I never thought I would ever get to see – the Eiffel Tower, the Duomo in Milan, Edinburgh Castle. I always wanted to travel and work here but I never thought I would ever actually get here.
On another note:
Luckily my landlady is allowing me to come back and stay here until I find a new flat before the school year starts. She is really fantastic and I will miss her heaps and heaps.
I hope you all are having a great start to your weekend.
Keep your eyes peeled for posts from NZ!
