An Afternoon in Brick Lane, London

On Saturday I went to London for a lindy hop social/class.  It was heaps of fun.  I wish I lived in/near London so that I could go to lessons more often.

Before the class, I spent a few hours wandering around Brick Lane.  I went to a cafe/shop called ‘The Vintage Emporium’.  I got a muffin for a quick lunch (healthy, yeah?) and then had a look at the shop.  I didn’t really see anything I wanted so I moved onto the next lot of Vintage shops near Brick Lane.

And let me tell you, as a Vintage lover, I was in HEAVEN.  So many shops and so many vintage clothes.  I was just amazed.  I’ve never seen so many vintage shops on one road.

In the end I only bought one dress.  It’s very pretty.  I did try on one from the 1930s, but it was perfectly fitted around the waist but too big round the bust.  So sad.

I love Brick Lane.

On another note, I have quite a few travel plans for the next few months.

I am going to Edinburgh during my Easter holidays and then possibly going to York and Harrogate.

In May I am also going to be going to Milan for the weekend.  I’m so excited.  I’m looking forward to the summery weather.

Anyone else had a great weekend?

Who has any holiday plans?

  1. I’m looking forward to your posts from Milan. On a side note, one could borrow the design/style of a vintage dress, but is it advisable to buy one?
