I decided to do a day in the life post today. It’s something I’ve never done before.
A Day In The Life
Yesterday started out like any other day. Woke up, had brekkie, and then ran out the house to go get a haircut (ok, that last one is not a usual occurrence).
It literally was like this:
Woke up, fell out of bed,
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup,
And looking up I noticed I was late.
-A Day In The Life, The Beatles.
We drove over to the city. On the way I noticed that it was so cloudy and rainy that you could barely see the city from the Harbour Bridge and motorway. Talk about Ghost Town.
I took a before and after photo of my haircut, as you do:
Mum, dad and I went to a cafe (can’t remember the name now) and got some yummy food. I ordered a pancake (yes, it was just one). It was fluffy, had a lot of fruit with it and also some delicious creme. Despite the fact that there was only one pancake, it was actually quite filling!
I didn’t get a photo of it as I was so hungry that I forgot to take one 😀
After lunch we decided to go and have a quick look in Dotti. Mum found some cute pussy bow blouses there that she bought. Dad got bored and decided to drive home and come and pick us up later in the afternoon.
I had a really nice day in town with mum. We had a great look through some shops and it was so nice to spend time with her.
As you can see, my OOTD of the day consists of:
Black handbag (a staple of my wardrobe).
Skirt by Wilson Trollope. You can read about it here: Spring OOTD
Shoes from Mikko shoes in Milford.
Cardie from Hema in the Netherlands.
Jumper from Hong Kong.
Lace top from Glassons.
After going to Postie Plus as they were having a sale there, mum and I went and got a cup of tea at Gloria Jeans. We decided to get takeaway as we wanted to sit on the bridge between the shopping centre and PWC building.
Postie Plus is great. They have a really good makeup section with brands like L’Oreal, Maybelline, Revlon etc. It is cheap too! I buy the majority of my makeup there.
I bought some makeup (primer) and a makeup brush from the Warehouse in the Downtown Shopping Centre. It’s a shame they are going to rip that building down. There are some really good shops there.
I may do a review of this primer soon.
At about 4.30 we walked up Queen St to go to High Street. We went to this place (name forgotten) where there are little boutique shops – Adrienne Winkelman is there.
We also went to this shop by the Victoria St Carpark. They have Tory Burch and Michael Kors handbags there. I was so tempted to buy a small Michael Kors handbag…but I resisted!
So, all in all, I had a fabulous day. I got home incredibly tired.
