A Tourist Tshirt – Amsterdam

When I was on holiday in the Netherlands last year, I decided that I wanted to get a tshirt with a bike on it.  I wanted one for me and one for my mum.  Unfortunately I didn’t find one until I got into the duty free section of Schipol Airport.

It seemed like a good shop.  I bought a Heineken shirt for my brother and dad there too.  The shirt I got for myself and my mum looked great – it had a bike on it and ‘Amsterdam Biketown’ written on it.

I got it home and we happily wore our shirts out and about.

At the end of last year, my old school had an athletics day.  All the teachers wore ‘relaxed’ clothes that day.  I decided to wear that shirt.

Nek minnit, the principal says to me ‘That’s a cheeky shirt’.

I look down and instantly feel embarrassed.

I never realised that the bike wheels were directly on my chesty area.

If she noticed, how many other people noticed?

Here’s a shot of the shirt:

I only wear it at home now..and when I walk along the beach.

It’s not like I can wear it to work…especially in a teaching job – it’s not appropriate.

It’s a cool tshirt though.
